Holiness Revival in the City of God, Accra

On Sunday the 2nd of September 2012, we had a most unusual visitation from God which as far as we can see has changed our church forever.
There are so many things to say and report about the many different experiences of members of the church that if we were to try to do so, we will fill a whole book. But I am going to try and present only some of the things that I experienced, saw and heard.
When I walked into our service which we now hold under tents at our Church Centre, for our 8.00am service, I began to feel a sense of restlessness which made me unable to stand in one place as Sam Akrasi called us to begin with corporate prayer. I found myself moving across  the front several times and soon I felt God told me to walk up and down the aisles  since he had clothed me with 'something' that he will spread over the whole place if I did so. I therefore walked up and down several times and back and forth and across the tent which had very few people in place at the time.
Then the service began. When our Praise team raised the song ' If this is your power ...let it rain',  it felt as if God was answering the words that we were singing out to him. The atmosphere was very beautiful straightaway an experience which only increased as the praise and worship time progressed.
Then Dora Forson brought two prophetic words soon after Anna's word on the abundant things that God had for us. The first one stirred up everyone to 'shake off' whatever was holding them back from entering into the abundant things that God had for them and the second was very simple 'if anyone wanted to dance with angels let him come and dance'. When she said that, for some reason I felt this was no ordinary word but rather this was what was happening at that moment among us.  And sure enough there was an instantaneous response as scores of people poured into the  front and there began what I can only describe as an explosive time of celebration and praise to God. There was an exceedingly great joy in the city. One would need a whole chapter to describe the many different kinds of dance and jumps and taking off of shirts that characterized this period which must have gone on for well over 45 minutes. Then things slowed down and there was a release of several prophetic words which only heightened the sense of God among us. Then just after another prophetic word a song was raised which then led to another song entitled ' Holy are you Lord'. Now it would be true to say that at this point the heavens really opened and we began to drink in pure joy and were all in awe in God's presence. I saw many people began to fall to the ground on their knees and then some went flat on their faces. Dora who was in a lovely white dress was rolling about on our not so tidy floor and her clothes turned to brown very quickly but there was no stopping this.  Many more were to go the same way as I saw many people one after the other sink onto the floor. (Will need to do a separate report from Dora soon).  We were caught up in this very awesome God- atmosphere for a while. Then we discovered that we had gone past the scheduled end of our whole service and I had not yet even started to preach. The very awesome thing though was that I was going to preach from Isaiah 6:1-8 on Meeting with a Holy God / A vision of God/ etc... ( had several titles and still not sure what to call it!). The previous Sunday I had preached on 'Holy God, Holy Church'.  Needless to say, the main emphases of my prepared message: an awesome King on his throne in His temple which is now the body of Christ, his robes filled his temple, the seraphs (angels) around the throne. Then the shouts of Holy, Holy, Holy which were the songs that the Holy God who came to visit us seemed to have responded to with all his awesome might and power and glory that morning.  We are familiar in City of God about the way the Holy Spirit faithfully brings together the 'preached' and the prophetic words in our meetings, but what happened on Sunday the 2nd of September was on another scale altogether.  If ever Word and Spirit came together, this was it in full multicolour.  We stood in holy fear of a Holy God.
By the time I finished preaching and we were ready to go we had spent nearly 5 hours in the meeting instead of our normal 2-3 hours, and we didn't even know it! A very glorious day.

One of our Elders, Joe's eyes were opened to see angels who had outnumbered our congregation 5:1 as he saw every person in the church being ministered to by 5 angels of God.

When we got home I felt we needed to have a Sunday evening meeting but we did not get round to doing it. However, we called the church together on Wednesday evening and it was another truly awesome time with God which must await another report. Then our all night prayer meeting on Friday night was another explosive night. Then last Sunday, the 8th day of the Revival went completely into ' overdrive'. One of our guys said it was twice what we saw on the first Sunday. We believed the whole move was connected with church growth as well so, in faith we bought and added 127 new chairs to the chairs under our tent. And nobody noticed we had done that because they were all filled up on the following Sunday!

We stand in awe of our Holy God. We feel like he's just in an instant changed the 'operating system' he'd had for us to a completely new one. Bigger, better, faster, more awesome. Who is qualified to steward these new treasures?

    Dearest in Christ ,

I am Pastor John, and by the Grace of God, Pastor in charge Revival Holy Church here in Ghana Accra. Nevertheless, I will like you to treat this matter very important as you can, once you receive this message because my contact to you is a divine contact based on God's direction. I am also believing that you will not let down this trust, as I am quite sure that you are also a believer of the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Late Mrs Elizabeth Dodo was a full member of our church and was a sincere and devoted Christian too. Due to the trust she had on me as her Pastor, before her sudden death, she revealed to me $9.5.million her late husband Dr.Stephen Dodo secured in a financial institution here in Ghana, which he wanted to used in an Oversea Business Projects before his sudden death, as was caused by Car Accident. Her Wife Mrs Elizabeth Dodo revealed this to me in case she did not survive her sickness. She instructed me to make an arrangement with a foreigner who will contact the bank as her late husband Foreign Associate and provide a means of transferring this money for the future of her only Son . She never wanted to invest this money here in Ghana because of their enemies and also, because of constant political instability in West Africa as a whole. Though we did everything possible, spiritually and physically for Mrs Elizabeth to survive, but behold, it was her time to meet the Almighty ( May her Soul Rest in Peace Amen).

Her Son is right now under the care of our Church and myself as the Pastor in-charge. If this letter touches you and you are willing to guide this money for this orphan with honesty and with the fear of God, please get back to me immediately so that I can give you more details about this matter, and also advice you on what next to do.

Feel very free to carry on this matter with me, as I have gone to the financial institution where this money is lodged and confirmed everything Legal as a Servant of God. Therefore, be rest assured that every thing about this matter is legally back-up and through your sincere co-operation, this money will be transferred successfully to you according to the will of God, and through this, you can assist this young innocent boy for the near future, in total faith that our God will never let me down for directing me to you.

I am sending this mail to you with Divine Glory of our Lord and peace to you and your family, Amen.

Contact me after reading this message in good faith Amen.

    God Bless you.

    Pastor John .
